Coming from Barys Astana of the KHL, Anthony Louis has signed a one-year contract with the SCL Tigers. In the Emmental, Louis is expected to lead the powerplay of the Tigers: "Louis is a technically very gifted player with his strength in the offensive game. He will especially help us on the power play," states Pascal Müller, team manager of the Tigers.
After four years in the NCAA with Miami University (Ohio), Louis took his first pro steps in the AHL with the Rockford IceHogs. After that, he suited up also for the Charlotte Checkers and the Texas Stars. Last season, Louis left America for Kazakhstan. In 57 games with Barys Astana, the new acquisition of the Tigers collected nine goals and 21 assists.
