EHC Biel announced the signing of Luis Janett by revealing door nine of their Advent calendar. Blick reported a bit over two weeks ago that the National League team was trying to acquire the young goaltender.
Luis Janett played junior hockey for the Pikes Oberthurgau and EHC Kloten. He also made his pro debut with Kloten in the 2019-20 season. Since 2021, he has only suited up for HC Thurgau, but has only been under contract with them since 2022. This season, he has posted a .939 save percentage in 17 games for them.
