As a reinforcement for the remainder of the season, HC Lugano adds free agent Matt Tennyson to their roster, thus using their tenth and last import license. Lugano now has one import goalie, two import defenders, and seven import forwards on the roster. Tennyson joins the Bianconeri without having played a single game this season.
"We decided to sign Matt to be protected in case of injury and to give depth to the squad for the final phase of the season. Matt is an experienced and strong defender who can help us in the playoffs if needed" states team manager Hnat Domenichelli.
Last season Tennyson was in the AHL with the Coachella Valley Firebirds. He suited up 97 times for them, collecting 21 assists. Having spent his whole career between the AHL and the NHL, it will be his first experience outside North America.
