After two years in Leventina, Michael Spacek has decided to move to Geneva, the city he will call home for the next two seasons. The Czech is thus the third confirmed import under contract with Genève-Servette HC next season, the other two being Sami Vatanen and Theodor Lennström.

Team manager Marc Gautschi is enthusiastic that "one of the best offensive centers of the league" has decided to join them: "He's one of the best playmakers in Europe, with impressive vision and above-average passing skills. Despite his young age, Michael already has a wealth of experience, and we expect him to become even more dominant. With his arrival, we'll have the best center line in the league."

This season, Spacek scored 17 goals and collected 33 assists for a combined 50 points in 52 games, leading the Biancoblù in all three categories. Last season too he recorded 50 points. Moreover, he participated in the last three editions of the World Championships with the Czech national team, putting up eight points in 25 games.
