Game 5 of the semifinal series did not start well for Lausanne HC, which conceded a goal after only a few minutes. The Lions, however, did not lose their focus and were able to come back with two goals in the second period and a third goal early in the last period. Then, despite the Dragons' comeback attempt, Lausanne HC held on and sealed the victory with an empty-netter from Jiří Sekáč.

Lausanne HC has thus won four games in a row after losing Game 1 and has qualified for the playoffs final for the first time in their history. The first game of the final will be in Zurich on Tuesday, April 16.
