Eric Himelfarb got promoted from assistant to head coach just before Christmas, when he took over from Christian Weber. Since then, he spent 23 games as head coach, assisted by Michel Zeiter.
"Due to the successful end of the season, we decided to continue with Eric and Michel," Basel's team manager Kevin Schläpfer says. "I've known both of them for a long time and I'm convinced that with this duo we can achieve our goals for the season and bring the team forward."
