Himelfarb took over as ad-interim head coach in the 2022-23 season and has remained their head coach ever since. EHC Basel finished the regular season in second place and recently won the National Cup.
Additionally, EHC Basel also announced the extensions of forward Laurin Liniger (for two years) and defender Jens Nater (for three years). Liniger, 21, is in his first season with EHC Basel, which he joined from SC Langenthal. In 30 games he collected 13 points (five goals). For his part, Nater, joined EHC Basel in 2022. The 28-year-old collected seven points in 42 games this season.
