As Marc Thommen tells the Oltner Tagblatt, they received around 20 applications for the position. They have now narrowed the list down to five candidates and want to decide soon who will lead the Mice in the future. Names of the candidates were not disclosed.

"He has to have a knack for working with young players, but he also has to support our philosophy: we want to continue being a top team in the Swiss League," Thommen said.

As for the head coaching position, Gary Sheehan's contract will expire at the end of the season. According to Thommen, both sides are, however, interested in continuing their working relationship. They will start talking once the season is over.
