Giacomo Dal Pian is not the only player of EHC Olten to retire: according to Klaus Zaugg (Watson), Dominic Nyffeler will also put an end to his career.

EHC Olten

Originally, Dominic Nyffeler would have had one year left on his contract with the Mice. However, team manager Marc Grieder and Nyffeler confirmed to the Oltner Tagblatt in January that he would not play for EHC Olten beyond this season.

It seems he has decided to stop playing professionally entirely. Dominic Nyffeler is a product of EHC Kloten's organization. Throughout his career, he suited up for EHC Winterthur, the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, the EHC Basel Sharks (now EHC Basel), HC Thurgau, HC Ajoie, EHC Kloten and, for the past two seasons, EHC Olten. This season, he posted a .925 save percentage in 26 regular-season games for the Mice.
