Guillaume Asselin has been with HC Ajoie since the first season they were promoted to the National League, in 2021. Before that, he spent two years in the Swiss League. With his current contract coming to an end, the Canadian is reportedly returning to that league. As Le Matin writes, it would not be to his former club, HC Sierre, but to EHC Olten instead.
Asselin suited up 29 times for Ajoie this past season, recording eight goals and seven assists. In Olten, the 31-year-old would be reunited with former Ajoie-coach Gary Sheehan.
