The Swiss defenseman signed a one-year contract worth $1,4 million with the Devils.

Müller received a qualifying offer from the Devils but elected salary arbitration in order to negotiate a better deal. However, the two parties came to an agreement before the set hearing. His new contract will keep him in Jersey until the end of the 2019-20 season.

The 24-year-old is about to go into his third season with the Devils. Last season, he recorded one goal and ten assists in 53 regular-season games.
