For the first two seasons, the deal is a two-way contract with an annual value of $700,000 and $750,000 respectively. Joey Daccord then has a one-way deal in place for the third contracted year worth $800,000.
Due to his Swiss citizenship, the goaltender's name also came up from time to time in Switzerland, whenever a team was looking to replace a goaltender. Daccord played in the NCAA for quite some time, was a Hobey Baker Award finalist and started to play in the AHL in the 2019-20 season.
