With that, the way for Malgin to continue and finish the season on loan with Lausanne HC in Switzerland's National League is cleared, although there are still some details to be worked out, as 24 heures reports.
Malgin, selected by the Florida Panthers in the 4th round of the 2015 NHL Draft, was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs in February 2020, who signed him to a one-year, one-way extension deal around half a year later.
Ever since his debut in the NHL, Malgin has appeared in 184 games with the Panthers (28 goals, 32 assists) and eight games with the Maple Leafs. With Lausanne HC, he has managed to put up eleven goals and eleven assists in 19 games this season so far.
