Arrived at the Winnipeg Jets from the Nashville Predators during the 2022-23 season, Nino Niederreiter's contract with the Jets was set to expire at the end of the current season. Now, the Jets and Niederreiter have agreed to a new three-year deal worth 12 million dollars overall. By the end of the new contract, Niederreiter will have played sixteen seasons in the NHL.

So far this season, Niederreiter suited up in all 23 games for the Winnipeg Jets, scoring six goals and collecting eight assists. Overall, Niederreiter is second all-time for NHL games played and points recorded by a Swiss player, only trailing Roman Josi.
