Mirco Müller joins Leksands IF for the remainder of the season

Mirco Müller is off to Sweden

Leksands IF has secured the services of Mirco Müller for the remainder of the season. A member of the New Jersey Devils for the last three years, the defenseman did not get a qualifying offer after his contract ran out in summer. With no other NHL-team taking an interest in him, the 25-year-old has now moved to the SHL.

His new Swedish club will be Müller's first station outside of Switzerland and North America. He spent most of his junior time with EHC Kloten and moved overseas in 2012.
