As anticipated by Expressen last month, the 31-year-old forward has signed a five-year contract with the SHL team.

"When MoDo was promoted to the SHL again, it became a priority to move home and it feels good to have family and friends around us again. The fact that it was a long contract also means that we get stability and continuity," Jesper Olofsson said about his decision to move back.

Olofsson is a product of MoDo's organization but has not played for them since 2012. The Swede suited up for Swiss teams for the past four seasons: first for SC Bern, then for the SCL Tigers and the last two seasons, he was part of EHC Biel. This season, he recorded ten goals and eleven assists in 36 regular-season games for the Seelanders.
