In an interview with the Journal du Jura, Anton Gustafsson reveals that he played the whole last season in Langnau with back pains, which did not pass during the summer break. Because of that, now that he is in Biel, the forward follows a schedule that tends to avoid back-to-back games. As his back is getting better and better, Gustafsson hopes that he does not have to sit out for one of the next three games before the Christmas break.

In 25 games with EHC Biel this season, the 29-year-old scored two goals and put up three assists.
