In the first round of the Champions Hockey League playoffs, there will be no Swiss teams facing each other. There is a chance of it happening in the next round though, in case SC Bern (against Luleå Hockey (SWE)) and Lausanne HC (versus HC Pilsen (CZE)) both win their matchups.

EHC Biel will go up against the DEL's Augsburger Panther, while EV Zug is headed to Finland to face Tappara Tampere.
