"In addition to six prospects, the line-up also includes many experienced players who have presented themselves well in recent weeks," Fischer explains. "They deserve a chance in the battle for a possible spot at the World Championships." In the first week, Switzerland will face Russia twice, on April 18 and 20.

Potential candidates from EHC Biel, who were eliminated from the playoff race on Wednesday, and players from North America will only join the national team for the second week of preparation.
