Together with Kurashev, also part of the All-Star Team are goalkeeper Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (FIN), defensemen Alexander Romanov (RUS) and Erik Brannstrom (Swe), and forwards Grigori Denisenko (RUS) and Ryan Poehling (USA). Poehling was also elected Most Valuable Player of the tournament.
It is only the sixth time a Swiss player appears in the All-Star Team. Previously, this award went to Benjamin Conz and Nino Niederreiter (2009-10), David Aebischer (1997-98) Mark Streit (1996-97) and Pauli Jaks (1990-91).
