As the two teams are the only ones who have handed in their applications for a spot in the Swiss League next season, their semifinal is now going to be a battle for a direct promotion. The winner of the best-of-five series will thus be set to move up to the second-tier league.
EHC Arosa and HCV Martigny both won their quarterfinal-series 3-0. Arosa against Seewen, Martigny against Lyss. The other semifinal will be played between EHC Thun (3-2 against Düdingen) and Hockey Huttwil (3-1 against Chur).
