As the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers announce, Uinter Guerra was able to convince head coach Jeff Tomlinson of his qualities and has thus been signed to a one-year contract. The deal runs through 2017.

The 26-year-old defenseman had offered himself for a try-out this spring and did the whole off-season training with the team. Guerra appeared in 58 NLA games for HC Ambrì-Piotta and in 78 NLB games for the now defunct EHC Basel Sharks, EHC Visp and Hockey Thurgau.

After not playing a single game in the 2014-15 season, he scored five goals and 14 assists in 33 games for Neuchâtel last year. (mso)
