The 31-year-old defenseman, who is a product of SHL team Luleå Hockey, joined the Eagles in 2015 from the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers. In total, Fransson can look back on 430 SHL games, 119 NLA games, 49 KHL games and six Liiga games. In two seasons for Grenats, the Swede has put up nine goals and 21 assists in 67 games.
