According to Radio Fribourg, HC Fribourg-Gottéron will not continue their partnership with HC Red Ice in the 2016-17 season. Furthermore, goaltender Reto Lory will supposedly leave the Dragons in spring.

HCFG had only officialised their partnership agreement with Martigny last May, so their whole collaboration only lasted for a one season. The goal of the deal had been to present new opportunities for the junior development of both clubs. However, according to Frank Stettler (Freiburger Nachrichten), HCFG is searching for a replacement.

As for Reto Lory, he has played three games for the Dragons this season and eight for Red Ice, posting a .844 and a .908 save percentage, respectively. His contract with Gottéron had been extended in November and he is signed through next season, but it looks like he will not stay. (mso)

UPDATE According to La Liberté, Lory has already found a new club in the NLB, which has supposedly signed him to a three-year contract. The team is expected to announce the agreement soon. (mso)- 16 February 2016, 12:48 PM
