As HC Fribourg-Gottéron's president Michel Volet tells La Liberté, the Dragons currently have a loss between CHF 300,000.- and 450,000.- this season. Moreover, two import-spots have to be filled for next term.

The reasons for this projected loss are manifold: A drop in attendance, which was partly compensated by the increase of seating places, a corresponding decrease of consumptions within the arena, or higher insurance costs are listed among other reasons by Michel Volet.

For the next season, Fribourg is also looking for two new import-players, as only Greg Mauldin and Marc-Antoine Pouliot will remain part of the team. As team manager Christian Dubé explains, he is currently in discussions with head coach Gerd Zenhäusern about the strategy: one defenseman and three forwards or four forwards. (tme)
