As the SIHF announces, proceedings have been initiated against Genève-Servette HC's Johann Fransson for an incident which occurred in the game against EHC Biel on September 20.

Fransson hit the Seelanders' Julian Schmutz from behind in 51st minute of play in the Grenats' 4-1 loss to Biel. The Swedish defenseman was penalised for the play, getting a two-minute penalty as well as a misconduct penalty in the game.

Fransson is currently in his second season with the Eagles. In six games thus far, he has scored one goal and four assists.
