Erik Brännström is a Swedish defenseman, currently under contract with the Ottawa Senators for another two seasons. The 21-year-old joined the organization in 2019 as part of a trade between the Sens and the Vegas Golden Knights. Last season, Brännström split time between the NHL (31 games) and the AHL (27 games).
As Watson's Klaus Zaugg writes, the SCL Tigers have taken interest in him. It would cost the club nothing to take on the Swede, as he would be financed privately, Zaugg states, mentioning a source on Langnau's administrative board.
