"When I came back from North America, I chose Lausanne because I felt the club had the potential to become the champion," Christoph Bertschy tells La Liberté. "That was the case three years ago, it is still the case today."

Bertschy's contract with LHC is valid until the end of the 2021-22 season. According to La Liberté, the president of HC Fribourg-Gottéron Hubert Waeber has shown interest in the forward. However, while Bertschy is flattered by the Dragons' interest, he is happy in Lausanne: " I still have a year and a half of contract left and I'm not thinking about what's next."

Christoph Bertschy spent his formative years playing for HC Fribourg-Gottéron and SC Bern. From 2015 to 2018, he tried his luck in North America, suiting up for the Minnesota Wild's organization as well as for the AHL team of the New Jersey Devils. This season, he has recorded seven goals and one assist in eleven games.
