Thanks to sponsors and season ticket holders, who contributed almost CHF 3.5 million, and thanks to the federal and cantonal subsidies as well as other measures, such as salary cuts and short-time work, the deficit could be reduced to a total of CHF 3.19 million. All in all, Gottéron had to take on more than CHF 4 million in debt.
The club concludes in their annual report: "The medium-term financial consequences, starting with the repayment of the various loans, will prevent the association from pursuing its future as planned."
