The 34-year-old Canadian joins the Swiss League team in order to gather some ice time, the SCL Tigers write in a press release. Himelfarb will serve as a replacement for HCC's John McFarland who suffers from a torn muscle in his hand and will be sidelined for about three weeks. The forward will give his debut for HC La Chaux-de-Fonds in tonight's game against EHC Olten.

Himelfarb joined the Tigers this summer after playing last season with HC Thurgau (40 games, 12 goals, 18 assists). This term thus far, he appeared in two games for the SCL Tigers, scoring two goals.
