Lugano signed the 21-year-old in 2015 after he had already played one year on loan from Pikes EHC Oberthurgau for their Elite A team. The following year, the Austrian, who is in possession of a Swiss player's license, was sent to play on loan for the HCB Ticino Rockets via B-license.

Since then, Müller has suited up in 32 games for the Rockets and has posted a .927 save percentage in five games this season. He also played for the Austrian youth national team with whom he participated in the U18 and U20 World Championships.
