Diem has been fined CHF 800.- for an incident which occurred in the Seelanders’ game against Genève-Servette HC on January 9. Senteler, for his part, was issued a fine of CHF 1,200.- for the same offence in a game against HC Fribourg-Gottéron on January 13. Footage of the incidents can be watched here.
As the SIHF writes in the press release, feigning an injury, fouls, or other dangerous situations are all unfair actions that distort the game. Actions such as these will not be tolerated in hockey and sanctioned accordingly.
