Akira Schmid, Keijo Weibel, Dominik Gyger und Rihards Melnalksnis will get the opportunity to train with the first team of the SCL Tigers this summer.

Schmid, 17, is the goaltender of the Tigers' U20 team and was also part of Switzerland's World Junior squad in 2017. He made his National League debut this season, posting a .912 save percentage in one game. Weibel, too, plays for their U20 team and played in eight games for the first team this season, recording one goal and one assist.

Gyger also made his National League debut this season. The forward posted 44 points (21 goals) in 49 games for the Tigers' U20 team. Latvian forward Melnalksnis, for his part, is expected to receive his Swiss players' license next season. He is currently preparing with the Latvian national team for the World Championship in Kopenhagen.
