The 59-year-old German Canadian was the head coach of Zug for the last four seasons. Apparently, Kreis' coaching philosophy no longer fits the criteria of the club that, according to EV Zug's press release, wants to focus on introducing young talents from their own youth section. That is why they decided to part ways.
As for his successor, CEO Peter Lengwiler is looking for a "head coach who likes to work with young athletes and wants to and can help them". They will take the necessary time to evaluate all potential candidates.
