Contract talks between Gottéron and Laurent Meunier in the upcoming weeks

According to journalist Frank Stettler (Freiburger Nachrichten), the 39-year-old is taking part in Gottéron's summer training - but is still without a contract. As team manager Christian Dubé tells Stettler, contract talks with Meunier are set for the upcoming two weeks.

Back in April a report said that the French-Swiss dual citizen will stay in Fribourg for one more year, but that the club might not be able to officialize the deal due to contractual reasons.

This past season was Laurent Meunier's first in the jersey with Fribourg's dragon on the front. He suited up in a total of 55 games and was able to put up 13 points (four goals, nine assists). At the World Championship in Denmark, he worked as assistant coach of the French national team.
