Cody Almond is unlikely to start the upcoming season with Genève-Servette HC, as was already reported last month. According to 24 heures, Lausanne HC is interested in the forward.

Almond will not play a big role in the plans of Servette's new (old) head coach Chris McSorley, despite still having a year left on his contract. Now, as 24 heures writes, Lausanne HC is hoping to acquire the Swiss-Canadian. A financially satisfying solution for all parties will need to be found.

The forward only played 28 National League games this past season, his sixth with GSHC, recording six goals and four assists. He was out due to a knee injury he sustained during the Olympic Games.
