Zaugg states that Pestoni's agent Daniel Giger is working out the details for a dissolution of Pestoni's contract together with the ZSC Lions' team manager Sven Leuenberger. At the same time, he is, still according to Zaugg, in talks with Arno Del Curto and Chris McSorley. The SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers are apparently not an option.
Pestoni would have a valid contract in place with the Lions until the end of the 2018-19 season. However, the Swiss champions recently disclosed that they would no longer count on the forward. His two options? Either play with the GCK Lions next season or find another team.
