Frank Stettler (Freiburger Nachrichten) reported almost a month ago that the two parties were working on a deal. Meunier has been participating in the Dragons' summer training without a contract, but it was clear that both sides wanted to reach an agreement as soon as possible.

This past season was Laurent Meunier's first in the jersey with Fribourg's dragon on the front. He suited up in a total of 55 games and was able to put up 13 points (four goals, nine assists). At the World Championship in Denmark, he worked as an assistant coach of the French national team.
