As anticipated by the Corriere del Ticino, Mauro Jörg signs a two-year contract with HC Lugano, valid until the end of the 2019-20 season.

The 28-year-old forward and HC Davos had mutually agreed to dissolve their exisiting deal for the 2018-19 season yesterday. The CdT reported a couple of days ago that the Bianconeri were interested in acquiring the forward. However, he first had to pass their physical.

Jörg played for Lugano from 2008 to 2012. He then suited up for the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers for two seasons, before joining HCD in 2014. In 39 games for HC Davos last season, he recorded five goals and eleven assists.
