The 24-year-old, however, is set to hit the ice with the Grenats' partner team in the MySports League, HC Sierre, at least for the beginning of the upcoming 2018-19 season.
Montandon, a product of HC Fribourg-Gottéron, played under contract with HC Ajoie in Switzerland's second highest league last term. In 49 games, he managed to score ten points (one goal, nine assists).
