As the Tages-Anzeiger reports, the capacity of the standing room area in the ZSC Lions' new home, the "Theatre of Dreams", has been decreased from 2500 to about 1500.

Based on surveys issued to their fans, the Lions realised that they overestimated the demand for it, which is why they now decided to decrease the standing room section. Visiting fans will have their own standing room area with a capacity of about 200. Also, similar to an NHL dressing room, the Lions' new one will be oval: the first of its kind in Switzerland.

It is now also clear, who will build the ZSC's new arena: HRS, a firm based in Thurgau. If all goes according to plan, the groundbreaking ceremony for the CHF 169 million project should take place in March 2019. CEO Peter Zahner also revealed to the Tages-Anzeiger that if the arena were to cost more than budgeted, Peter Spuhler, Walter Frey, and SwissLife would cover it.
