Moy passed unconditional waivers on Friday, terminating his contract with the Nashville Predators. Several National League teams had shown interest in the forward, as he will not count against the import player contingent.

Moy was drafted by the Nashville Predators in the 6th round (175th overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft and signed to a two-year entry-level contract last year. However, he just saw some AHL action in Milwaukee and had been recently assigned to ECHL's Atlanta Gladiators.

In a total of 79 games with the Nashville Predators' AHL affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals, Moy managed to record seven goals and 13 assists for 20 points.
