It is now official: Hofmann will join EV Zug for four seasons, starting from the 2019-2020 season, without an NHL out-clause. Reto Kläy, team manager of the club, is happy for the signing as "Hofmann has speed and power, has been playing at a high level for a long time and regularly scores many goals. He also has a top attitude and brings a lot of leadership".
This morning, Gregory Hofmann informed HC Lugano that he would not accept the offer, although this one was, according to the club, "extremely competitive". In this season, Hofmann scored twelve goals and recorded ten assists in 22 games so far.
