Whereas Mauro Dufner will join the Grenats for the rest of the season, Will Petschenig will suit up for the Seelanders.

Both their respective contracts will expire at the end of the 2018-19 season. Dufner has been part of EHC Biel's organization since 2015, when he joined from SC Bern. "After intensive talks with Mauro, we came to the conclusion that an immediate trade makes sense for both parties," Martin Steinegger states.

As for Petschenig, the Grenats had been looking for a solution for quite some time. Earlier this week, Steinegger had told the Journal du Jura that they could not get a deal on a loan basis regarding Petschenig, because GSHC wanted him to stay with Biel for the rest of the season. They have now found a different solution.
