There have already been rumors that the young defenseman might leave HC Davos after five seasons. According to the Südostschweiz, the Valaisan is looking for a new challenge and will presumably sign with Lausanne HC. Earlier reports already indicated interest from Lausanne and also from HC Lugano.

Fabian Heldner made his National League debut with HC Davos during the 2014-15 season and celebrated his first and only Swiss championship title so far in the very same season. This season, he appeared in 32 games, in which he recorded five assists.
