In the 18th minute of the game between EV Zug and HC Lugano, Garret Roe delivered a hit against Romain Loeffel and possibly targeted the head of the Bianconeri-defenceman. The league has initiated proceedings against Roe to determine if the US-American did so.

The league has also started an investigation into a similar incident, taking place during the derby between HC Fribourg-Gottéron and SC Bern. In the 31st minute, Tristan Vauclair checked Eric Blum, also likely hitting the head of the Bears' defenceman. Blum would end up not returning to the ice after the hit.
