"He is a real leader and a positive voice in the locker room," Chris McSorley tells the newspaper. Winnik, for his part, also would like to stay at the shores of the Lac Léman: "My wife and I would really like to stay. I hope we can soon come to an agreement."

Winnik joined Genève-Servette HC at the beginning of October, after having been released from his professional tryout contract with the Boston Bruins. In 30 games for GSHC, he has recorded three goals and 19 assists.
