A year ago Genève-Servette HC formed a partnership with HC Sierre. As the coach of Genève-Servette HC states, "it's essential to have a project with a Swiss League club. Look at the success of Zug and Ambri who can count on strong teams in the Swiss League. This is exactly the model we want to follow."

However, when asked what would happen if HC Sierre would not join the Swiss League, McSorley answered that the collaboration would certainly not end, but it would take a 180°-turn: "I don't see Geneva investing there as much as this year if by any chance HC Sierre were to remain in the MySports League."

McSorley also reveals that they had a huge interest in Vincent Praplan: "We had started discussions and submitted a very serious offer to his agent. But in the end, we simply could not continue the negotiations. The financial requirements were far too high."
