"One must not forget that I'm in possession of a contract as team manager," the 56-year-old says to the news agency Keystone-SDA. "I have taken on a double mandate for this season. For the next season, everything will be discussed once again and everything is open."

With Genève-Servette HC currently finding themselves on tenth place in the standings, a qualification for the playoffs is going to be difficult. "Yes, I think you can say that," McSorley admits. Nevertheless, the Canadian is still convinced to be the right man for the job: "I have complete confidence in my coaching skills."

Moreover, McSorley confirmed to MySports that he will not sign another import player and thus will not make use of their eighth and last import player license. Currently, only the Swedes Henrik Tömmernes, Johan Fransson, and Eric Martinsson are healthy.
