Currently engaged in the playout final against HC Davos, the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers have announced the signing of Daniel Vukovic. The defenceman joins the Lakers on a two-year contract, taking him to 2021.

Roger Maier, the club's head of sports, is convinced that "with his experience, he will further reinforce the SCRJ Lakers' defence and bring additional physical strength to the team."

Vukovic's season with Genève-Servette HC was terminated last week and a few days ago, it was reported that the 33-year-old will not be back with the Eagles. He was a member of the Grenats for eleven seasons and appeared in 571 games for them. Prior to joining them, the Swiss-Canadian was suiting up for Michigan State University in the NCAA.
